Chocolate Biscuit (eggless, without eggs) Recipe

Chocolate butter biscuits are oven baked and flavoured with vanilla essence.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 200g ¬†butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup castor sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Icing sugar

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl combine together the butter and sugar.
  2. Mix the ingredients well to form a smooth consistency.
  3. Stir in the vanilla essence.
  4. Add in the flour and mix to form a dough.
  5. Break off portions of the dough to form small balls.
  6. Flatten the tops of the biscuit with a fork slightly.
  7. Place the biscuits on an ovenproof tray and bake for 8-10 minutes on 180 degrees until lightly brown underneath.
  8. Remove the biscuits from the oven when baked and set it aside.
  9. Allow the biscuits to cool.
  10. Dust or sift icing sugar on the tops of each biscuit.
